Who We Are

The Physician Associate Schools Council is comprised of member Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that deliver Physician Associate (PA) education within the UK.

Our Vision

At the Physician Associate Schools Council, we aspire to lead, advance, and promote Physician Associate education and research for the benefit of the public. Our vision is to enable a future where PAs play a pivotal role in healthcare, supporting the work of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to improved patient outcomes and well-being.

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance the PA profession by focusing on:

  1. Excellence in Education: We are committed to fostering high-quality PA education. Through the collaboration of educational institutions, we aim to enhance curriculum standards, promote innovative teaching methods, and ensure that future PAs receive the best possible training.

  2. Impactful Research: Research is at the heart of progress. We encourage and support research initiatives that explore PA education. By facilitating research collaborations and disseminating findings, we contribute to evidence-based practice to drive quality of PA education.

  3. Professional Development of Educators: Educators play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of PAs. Through the provision of resources, workshops and networking opportunities we aim to empower educators, helping them stay abreast of the latest developments and teaching methodologies.
